Winter is approaching, and digital printing machines also need to "overwinter". Today, we will explain to you how to maintain digital printing machines during winter, which can help you save a considerable amount of maintenance costs!

First of all, please close all doors and windows to prevent the smog from entering the room during smoggy weather. Secondly, pay attention to the daily maintenance of the equipment. Clean the equipment every day to avoid dust accumulation. After the equipment has finished working, cover it with a dust-free cloth to prevent dust from entering. Finally, pay attention to the cleaning of accessories.

1.Print head

The print head is the core component of the printing machine. During daily cleaning and maintenance, one must be extremely careful. Regularly check if there are any debris accumulated on the mirror surface of the print head and its surroundings and clean them. You can move the cart to the cleaning position and use a cotton swab dipped in cleaning solution to clean the ink residue around the print head to avoid affecting the cleaning effect.

2.Guide rail

After turning on the power of the printing machine every day, let the small cart move back and forth several times. The dirt inside the guide rail slider will remain on the guide rail. Repeat this process several times, and then use a tissue or cotton swab to apply a small amount of alcohol to wipe the stains. Additionally, it is recommended to lubricate the guide rails once every two weeks. Use a cotton swab to apply a little lubricating oil to wipe the guide rails to ensure their smooth and lubricated condition, and also to ensure the smoothness for the next use.

In winter, the first thing that comes to mind is low temperature. The impact of temperature drop on digital printing machines is most noticeably reflected in the tendency for the printhead to "get clogged", which leads to phenomena such as ink interruption, skipping needles, oblique spraying, ink flying, and blurred images when printing. This is because the viscosity of the ink increases as the temperature drops, causing the ink droplets to condense on the nozzle, resulting in the need to clean the printhead to solve the problem.
Meanwhile, in winter, the temperature is low and the relative humidity is also lower. Dry air is prone to cause wrinkling and paper smearing during the printing process of the digital printing machine.     In severe cases, it may even lead to damage to the printhead and motor. It is essential to pay special attention to the temperature and humidity values in the operation room. The suitable temperature range for the digital printing machine is 18℃ - 30℃, and the humidity range is 35% - 65%. In winter, do not place the digital printing machine in an outdoor environment. If the temperature in the operation room of the digital printing machine is low, you can appropriately use an air conditioner to increase the temperature and humidity.
Be sure to prevent static electricity interference. Before the equipment starts working, make sure to connect the ground wire. During high-speed operation of the equipment, static electricity is likely to be generated. When the static electricity is strong, the equipment is prone to adsorb dust, which can also easily cause damage to key components. Therefore, the grounding issue of the ground wire for the digital printing machine must be treated seriously.
